A home washer usually tops out around 7–9kg. Our extra-large 27kg washer is roughly three times that capacity, so bulky bedding, big family loads and oversized washable household items get the room they need to actually come clean, then dry properly in the 21kg jumbo dryer.

Sparkleen has officially raised the bar for laundromats in Werribee. The space is spotless, the setup is thoughtful, and the entire customer experience feels refreshingly modern. Their brand-new machines are fast, efficient, and a dream to use.

Most single, double, queen and king doonas fit comfortably in the 27kg extra-large washer, then dry in the 21kg jumbo dryer. Check the care label on your doona first: some filled and wool items are dry clean only.
Suitable soft, washable rugs can go into the 27kg extra-large washer. Rubber-backed, jute, wool-pile and hand-knotted rugs are usually not suitable for machine washing, so always check the care instructions before you start.
Use the 14kg washer ($8) for everyday clothing, the 18kg washer ($10) for large family loads and bedding, and the 27kg extra-large washer ($14) for doonas, bulky bedding, suitable rugs and oversized washable items.
