Large loads & oversized laundry
Large Loads & Oversized Laundry in Melbourne
When the load is too big for your machine, our 27kg extra-large washer takes it.
A home washer usually tops out around 7–9kg. Our extra-large 27kg washer is roughly three times that capacity, so bulky bedding, big family loads and oversized washable household items get the room they need to actually come clean, then dry properly in the 21kg jumbo dryer.
- 27kg extra-large washer: $14 per wash
- 21kg jumbo dryer for bulky drying
- One visit instead of several small loads
- Cashless tap & go on every machine

What Counts as a Large Load?
If it will not comfortably fit in a normal household washer, it belongs in our extra-large machines.
Our 27kg extra-large washers sit alongside the 14kg and 18kg machines at both stores.
- Large family loads: a week of washing in one go
- Doonas and duvets, single through to king
- Heavy blankets, throws and quilts
- Suitable soft, washable rugs and floor mats
- Mattress protectors and bed toppers
- Multiple sets of sheets, towels and table linen
- Sleeping bags and other bulky washable items
- Oversized washable household textiles
Item suitability depends on the material and the manufacturer's care instructions. Check the care label before washing, and if you are unsure about a specific item, call us on 03 7050 3699 before you travel.

The environment here is unbelievably good, extremely clean and well maintained. When I went to do laundry that day, I met a couple. As I was putting in the detergent, the machine got stuck, and the man kindly helped me solve the problem. We then had…
Laundromat was kept in great condition. Folding tables were not dusty or dirty at all. Quite comfortable to use the folding table to fold the clothes after drying.
Great machines, very efficient and everything looks neat. I went on a day that it was free washing and when I got there, they even left snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy!

Sparkleen has officially raised the bar for laundromats in Werribee. The space is spotless, the setup is thoughtful, and the entire customer experience feels refreshingly modern. Their brand-new machines are fast, efficient, and a dream to use.
Such a nice clean facility. They also do wash dry fold service which was so helpful for me. Hopefully they can sort some signage soon as it was really hard to find but very worth it.
